Black Tie Affair  is one of the most requested bands in the Carolina's for corporate events, Christmas parties, wedding receptions, dance clubs, and private parties.  Although we are based in the upstate area of South Carolina, we perform throughout the state, and as far away as Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Asheville.  The band is made up of seasoned professional musicians who have a background in live performances with touring bands, and military bands, as well as studio and commercial playing of all types of music, including classical, jazz, swing, rock, beach, oldies, blues, country, R&B, and pop. There are a lot of important details in planning any event, including the right location, the best choices in food selection, a great presentation, and most important of all, the perfect band!  Timing is very important at any event, and a great band will keep your guests there until the very end.  We know how to keep the evening flowing, and allow you and your guests, to have a great time and forget about the details! We start every event with very classy solo piano as your first guests arrive, followed by light jazz, and big band swing, during cocktails and dinner.  When it's time for dancing, we pick up the pace, and ease into a variety of beach music, and oldies favorites to get the crowd on the dance floor.  Once the dancing has begun, we gradually take the music to the next level throughout the evening, featuring all of your favorite dance and party favorites from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, & 90's.  "We start out with Gershwin, & send'em home singin' Shout!"
